lyrics
The vibe unfolds
in a blink of an eye
Been more than just
the offering and taking of a life
One way of dying
The art to rise again
The vague chronicle of a quiet wound
The stride of doom
Tidings from sheltering homes
Nocturnal lightning
where remembrance fills the emptiness
Far clouds are torn
Dewed hours, scores of moods
Another nuance of the same gloom
Griever once
Believer now
We are two flames of one fire
Falling down
or higher now?
Leaving everything
and everyone?
Triumph on hold
Eyes that meet in the night
Distance unravels
The silver covers the unknown
Breathe away the fear
Obstacles waved aside
The coldness buried
and embers stayed alight
The credence all or nothing
in need of guarding
A road of blurring traces
through weakness
dead and drowned
The marks of sighing faces
Relent or go down
One dream in kindred places
repeated and unbound
Our shadows lead the dance
in veins of winter
Eternity keeps the dance
within this winter
I've spent the day looking for some decent goth rock that speaks to me. Nothing was satisfying until I found this. Everything is right here: the atmosphere, the songwriting, the melodies, the voice, the whole concept. And what a surprise to hear a familiar voice and find out it's indeed Kvohst from <code> and Grave Pleasures. Although I think the album doesn't need his guest appearance - it's convincing enough on its own and I would have even preferred it without his vocals. Great band. Entleiber
Man I’ve devoured this album countless times and I don’t think this group will wear on me anytime soon. The vocals are perfect for this sound, the production is ideal; the drums are perfectly garage’d. Cannot wait for the next project. Riley Kesselring
The sole recording from this Brooklyn group, “Service” is hushed and mysterious, its artful songs defying easy categorization. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 28, 2023
The soundtrack to the award-winning film “Freeland” functions beautifully as an album in its own right, with stark, evocative instrumentals. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 7, 2021
Very calm, soothing, yet strong and evocative melodies. Great introduction into the world of Forndom and a true, even if a bit short, escape from the world of men. Anders Kvistr
